Danmarks Veteran Motorcykleklub (DVM)

I forbindelse med DMU’s 50-års jubilæum i 1965, blev der arrangeret et Skagenløb ad den klassiske rute Skagen – København. Senere på året mødtes deltagerne sammen med andre interesserede i Nyborg Borger- og Håndværkerforening, hvor der blev holdt stiftende generalforsamling. Et par måneder senere blev der indkaldt til ordinær generalforsamling og her blev klubbens vedtægter godkendt, og der blev valgt en bestyrelse. Klubbens formål er bl.a. at samle alle der interesserer sig for motorcykler fabrikeret før 1940, samt at samle og restaurere motorcykler fra den tid. Et andet formål er at afholde fem veteranløb årligt, ligesom der rundt i landet holdes klubmøder og arrangeres madpakketure, hvor man dyrker det gode kammeratskab. Oresund Rally har derfor en turistklasse, Oresund Tourist Rally, klasse 6, hvor man kan deltage uden at skulle dyste på sekunder. Og eftersom der kun benyttes gode veje, er det en fin chance til at prøve kræfter med et historisk rally. Man kan deltage uden nogen form for udstyr eller instrumenter. Welcome to the home of Danish Beach Racing! A Group of enthusiasts in the Hot Rod & Custom Community has finally succeeded in landing the necessary approvals for a Vintage style race on the Island of Rømø. Like Fanø it benefits from extremely wide and long beaches, with a hard and flat surface. Naturally No Speed records will be set, but it is our ambition to create a true time pocket with pre-ww2 cars and motorcycles in an up-to 1947 styling and engineering. Anyone can apply as participants in the race, but we are rather strict about which cars and bikes that can attend to be able to create a true time pocket. All officials, security, photographers and support personnel will be period correct dressed. We have decided to require the same for all drivers and their mechanics and helpers. The modern version of our Track will be a 1/8 mile drag strip. Check our front page weekly for new presentations of Drivers and Riders!!

Brooklands has been and gone, but Shelsley Walsh is still here, as old as the sport but as modern as today. Wedelslund Gods Car Club

Der afholdes Træf- og køretøjsdag 5. juni (Grundlovsdag) - på jorden og I luften på Wedelslund Gods for blandt andet at markere den fælles historiske køretøjsdag, hvor ejere af klassiske køretøjer landet over viser deres klassiske køretøjer frem. I 2015 var der omkring 2.000 klassiske køretøjer, der havde fundet vej til Wedelslund vest for Aarhus, og ud fra de tilbagemeldinger, arrangørerne har fået, forventes mindst et tilsvarende antal I 2016, hvorfor parkeringsfaciliteterne for både de klassiske køretøjer og de mange øvrige gæster med mere derfor er udvidet væsentligt. Vi er selvfølgelig afhængige af vejret, men der vil blive masser af oplevelser udover det allervigtigste, nemlig deltagernes egne køretøjer og hyggen omkring disse.
