Expected Results

  • Portfolio of current successful hospital-based HTA activity in Europe, highlighting strengths and external validity. This best practice evidence has not been systematically studied before.
  • Handbook with best practices and an accompanying toolkit for high quality hospital-based HTA products, incorporating original AdHopHTA research on informational needs of hospital decision-makers (either managers or clinicians).
  • New models for cooperation between hospital-based HTA and national/regional HTA organisations, a field presently underdeveloped.
  • A database for hospital-based HTA initiatives and products (completed, ongoing, planned) complementing EUnetHTA JA‘s Planned and Ongoing Projects (POP) database .

This project received funding from the European Union’s Seventh Framework Programme for Research and Technological Development under grant agreement no. 305018.
