The Internet is becoming the town square
for the global village of tomorrow.

-Bill Gates

Computer literacy is not optional for the next generation; it's essential. It is
our responsibility, as adults, to teach children to navigate the Internet safely,
efficiently, and legally. Unfortunately, the Internet is unchartered territory for
many of us, so we must take time to educate ourselves first.

The Alaska Internet Circle of Safety is a resource for adults who would like to
teach their children to be responsible online citizens. This project was funded
by the Institute of Museum and Library Services, and is a joint effort of the
Alaska State Library and the Alaska Library Association.
