DATABASE TO LOOK FOR FAMILY MEMBERS THAT EMIGRATED TO ARGENTINA BETWEEN 1882 AND 1930


The CEMLA Data Base contains information of passenger and immigrant arrival at the port of Buenos Aires between 1882 and 1930.

Available information* contains: Family name, first name, country of birth, marital status, age at arrival, profession, religion, port of shipment, ship’s name, date of arrival (sometimes also members of family travelling together) Town or province of origin are registered only and partially as from 1923. With some exceptions in 1910, we have no information on town or province of birth for immigrants arrived until 1922.

* depending on the condition of the corresponding lists. Poor conservation of some lists has made it impossible to recover the information contained in them.
