There is still time to make an advent calendar for someone you love! But time is short, so make it a simple one, like any of these.
I am making the whole blog into a Christmas calendar! Starting on Thursday Dec 1 there will be great giveaways here every day up until Christmas eve, as a little way of saying thank you to all of my fantastic readers.
I love me a little dark and moody Christmas inspiration! It doesn't all have to be white and bright, greys and browns are perfect for winter decorating too.
It's that time of the year again. I've held back on all the Christmas stuff until now, but since it is the first Advent Sunday next weekend, I guess it is time now. Or do you think it's too early? Am I stressing you out? I wanted to start off carefully, not to overwhelm anyone, so I chose some photos that aren't "over-the-top-christmassy".
I found this
article in Bo Bedre about a couple staying at a stylish design hotel for a whole year while their house is being built. Of course they are celebrating the holidays there too, so now they have decorated the hotel studio apartment for Christmas. It's quite minimalistic, and I like the idea of spraypainting the tree and bay leaf wreath to get it to match the interiors. And I'm totally convinced that my own Christmas tree this year will be one of those tiny ones in a pot, preferably one that looks a little threadbare and wonky!
New week, new giveaway! You better get used to this, because from December 1 up until Christmas Eve I will have giveaways here every day!
Today's giveaway is sponsored by the Norwegian webshop
Bolina, who are giving away a big linen cushion (70x70 cm) in sand grey with a cool skull print, worth 150 €. To win, just answer this question in the comments below:
How would you use this cushion in your home? Where would you put it, what would you match it with?
A winner will be drawn on Friday, November 25th. Good luck!
Ps. The winner of last weeks giveaway of two Calabash lamps from Lightyears will be announced later today.
The Swedish bloggosphere has been filled with posts about
Lotta Agaton's styling class this fall, and the final exam was to style a shoot, photographed by
Pia Ulin, for
Therese Sennerholt's new poster collection. The best photo is going to be the official campaign photo. Lotta just published
all the pictures on Facebook and announced that the winner is my sweet and talented friend
Annaleena, who writes the
Try This at Home posts for my blog. A big congrats to Annaleena for doing such an excellent job! Her photo is amazing, but all of the others are great too, so I'm showing some of my favourites here. Enjoy!

A new week and a new giveaway! This time one lucky person will win
two Calabash P1 pendants in black, from
Lightyears. The size is 158 mm in diameter, and they are worth 320€. To enter, just tell me in the comments
where you would put your pendants, how would you use them in your home? Would you match them with anything?
The giveaway closes at midnight 18/11. Good luck!
The competition is for the black version of the Calabash, but I just can't resist adding these wonderfully styled photos of the gold and silver versions...
I got a question this week asking for bathroom inspiration, and as I looked through my files I realized it was time to upload some of the photos to the blog so you all can enjoy them. Here you go!
In other news, the winner of the art print giveaway from
L'Affiche Moderne has now been chosen. And the winner is... *drumroll*
Åsa, who wants to improve her relationship to cats and is wishing for the
Cats of the World print by Gemma Correll, thinking an art print could be a good place to start. Congrats, and I hope it helps!
Interior stylist
Tina Hellberg created these wonderful pictures together with photographer
Magnus Anesund. You can find most of the photos in the latest copy of
Elle Interiör, but one of them didn't make the cut, so that one (the shot of the desk from above) is exclusively shown here.
The theme is hues, or colours, and I love the unexpected colour combinations. Who thought that yellow and pink would look so good together?
My sponsor
L'Affiche Moderne, an online gallery where you can get lots of great artprints and photos, is giving away a big print from their shop! If you are the lucky winner you get to choose which print you would like. The size is 50x70 cm, worth 59€. (Fits nicely in the Ribba frame from Ikea)
To enter and get a chance to win, just answer this question in the comment field below:
The giveaway closes on the night of Friday Nov 11.
Below are a few of my own favourites!
A bag full of sweet photos matching the dreary November weather outside my window. All the colourful leaves have fallen now, and left is only grey and brown hues. A thin layer of snow would be nice, to brighten things up a bit, but since we are having unseasonably warm temperatures this autumn, that probably won't happen for a while. On the other hand, it's really nice to be able to pick mushrooms in November, while we were up to our knees in snow this time last year.
