Gen 2: Chapter 2

See that painting? Sadie painted it for Shimmer as a birthday present. It looks like a shimmering, psychedelic star in a kind of crazy way which is perfectly fitting for the occasion no matter which way you look at it.

So moving right along, today is Shimmer Star’s first birthday and Sadie decided to wear her bathing suit…all day. There were plenty of people invited because it’s actually a joint birthday party!

Shimmer aged up and inherited blonde streaks in jet black hair from her alien father…that’s what we’re all assuming anyway. I’m still working on solving that mystery.
One of the guests accidentally spilled some blue koolaid on her, so now her hair is kind of blue. Sister Sadie thinks that its “way cool” and she’s not even going to attempt washing it out, but will in fact continue to dye her daughter’s hair with various juices. You can’t see it, but I am rolling my eyes right now.

And then the twins grew up! They look nearly the same which is odd because I think I changed quite a bit on my eighteenth birthday?

A couple of days later…

Today’s a special day, there’s to be a wedding in our house. All of the guests showed up in formal apparel, including my good friend Gregg. I really miss my Dad today, it kind of just hit me and I began blubbering like a baby. Gregg was there, offering his shoulder. He is such a gentleman, so kind and handsome. I think I may be falling for him…

Did you think that I was the one getting married? Sorry to disappoint, but I’m not ready for that yet. It’s Lucius and Somer who are tying the knot!

The looks Gregg were giving me during the ceremony were so romantic! I think he may be interested in me too, don’t you agree? The happy couple looked beautiful and immediately left for a honeymoon on some island paradise. Mom on the other hand…I can’t wrap my head around her outfit. Trying to look regal just isn’t her thing.

Sadie has really become quite responsible lately. She tries to get one or two chess matches in each day while she’s not teaching Shimmer how to walk or talk like a big girl.

Part of my job is rummaging through other people’s trash, can you believe that? It is so humiliating! I just hope that I never get caught, and I’ll keep going until I reach the top of my career.

I overheard Lucius and Somer in the bathroom, she’s pregnant! Yay! Lucius is so excited, but they plan on moving to their own place before the baby comes and I completely understand…but who’s going to be the man of the house when they leave?

I couldn’t get Gregg off my mind! Seriously, I thought about him all the time…it was even interfering with work. So I asked him to meet me at the park  when I got off one night and…

He kissed me for the first time!
