The documentary “Monkey Business: The Adventures of Curious George’s Creators,” tells the story of the co-creators of Curious George, one of the best loved children’s books of all time. Hans and Margret Rey, were a Jewish couple living in Paris during the rise of Nazism. The Reys made a narrow escape on makeshift bicycles just before the Nazi occupation of their city, carrying the yet-to-be-published “Curious George” manuscript with them. The film includes animation and archival materials from the Rey estate, including wartime journals, photographs, letters and unpublished Curious George sketches and notes.
The service will be live streamed. Dinner / film and study are in-person at Solel.

Arliene’s Book Club
This time: The Nightingale by Kristan Hannah. One of Heather’s Picks, this novel – a long but captivating read – It captures the epic panorama of WW2 and shines a light on a seldom seen part – the women’s war, as it recounts the stories of two sisters, each on her own dangerous path toward survival, love and freedom in war-torn France. This is a novel that “celebrates the resilience of the human spirit and the strength of women”. Hope you can start reading!
