Google UK is holding a competition for kids: It’s your chance to design a Google logo and take over Dennis Hwang’s job for a day!

Rupert at Google says: “Here in the UK, we wanted to let Dennis have the day off and give someone local the chance to get their artwork in front of millions. After a successful pilot competition in 2005, we’re pleased to tell you that our 2006 “Doodle 4 Google – My Britain” competition is now open and accepting doodles from pupils ages 4-18 in all schools across the UK.”

Kind of in love with this new leather clutch I painted over the weekend 🥰 Choosing a colour of thread is unnecessarily difficult 😂 What colour would you use to complement these flowers? Funky little project in progress! 😎 Mending my favourite jacket once again. I’ve worn my Japanese hippari jacket from @fujikimono so much over the past few years, the sleeve hems were starting to fray. I used indigo fabric scraps to give them a hem to protect the edges, just like I did with the neckline a few years ago. A quick buzz and my Strokkur jumper is ready to wear again! It had gotten embarrassingly bobbly after so much wear, but it looks fresh again! What a gorgeous surprise in the post this morning; Four beautiful art pieces from @berniejones.art (who also organised the swap), @normachung.art, @foxtailimages and (probably the right person?) @pollywinder. Getting my canvas painted, ready to cut a @sewliberated L’Oeuf bag from it later. Will be fun to position the pattern pieces to get a good combo of colours 😊 Couldn’t work out what to do with this fun canvas piece I painted a few weeks ago, so I stitched a pencil case out of it! It’s so joyful 🥰 Anything can become a canvas! Quiet Saturday afternoon doodling on an old cereal box. Guess the cereal brand and win… umm bragging rights. 😂 This particular marbling pattern makes me feel so fuzzy, I just want to do it again! I think it’s that light green 🧩 Maybe on leather next time! It’s a glorious sunny day, and it’s making this marbled leather shiiiiiine!
