Professional Club Fitting

The Fitting Process

TRAF GOLF fittings are done OUTDOORS (weather permitting)! You have to see the beauty of ball flight in combination with the use of a Foresight GC2 launch monitor !

This PGA Tour technique gives us the ability to track and register all relevant information in order to find perfect fit to your potential golf ability, such as: Club head speed, ball speed, launch angle, spin rate, sweet spot hit, carry distance and total distance.

A Club fitting with TRAF GOLF will consist of Static and Dynamic measurements. No guessing!

TRAF GOLF professional club fitting uses your current set of clubs as a reference and the first option is to fit your current clubs.

First Step: PLAYER EVALUATION (Personal Interview) - We will discuss the strengths and weaknesses of your game and review any physical limitations you may have.

Second Step: MEASURE YOUR CURRENT EQUIPMENT – Specs such as length, flex, swing weight, loft & lie, total weight, and grip profile – of your current set of clubs will be taken to get a better understanding of how your clubs are built and why your clubs are performing the way they do.

Third Step: TEST YOUR CURRENT EQUIPMENT - We will evaluate your current equipment (Driver, Long Iron, Short Iron) with launch monitor to see how they perform in your hands. At this stage we are tracking crucial data that will help us determine what we can improve on.

Fourth Step: TEST CLUBS - Based on the data found in step 2 and 3, we will begin the testing process of different club head styles and shaft profiles. At the end of this stage - which is the longest stage - we will determine proper length, loft and lie angle, shaft flex, kick point of shaft, weight of shaft, swing weight and grip style that best suit your swing characteristics.

Final Step: RECOMMENDATION – We will review and discuss our findings and your next step for fitting your equipment to your potential golf ability.

You will receive the full spec sheet of all recommendations. You will also be provided (via email) a complete print out of the data that was captured on the launch monitor for your reference. During this session, please ask any questions you may have.

Fitting sessions:

Woods and Hybrids

Maximizing distance and accuracy are the main components involved in customizing your drivers, fairway woods, and hybrids. In customizing your clubs, I will manipulate conditions associated with launch angle, back spin rate, ball speed, and side spin.

This complete analysis will conclude with recommendations for different models of clubs, lofts, shaft flexes, weights and lengths.

Allow 1 hour for fitting of driver and 1 hour for fitting fairway woods and hybrids.

Price: $ 35 for a 1 hour Fitting Evaluation (Step 1-5)

Irons

For optimal results, increasing your performance through custom fitted irons is a must. Your irons are crucial in setting up scoring opportunities throughout a round of golf. Having correctly fitted irons will increase your accuracy, distance control, and shot making ability. The average golfer may use irons for 20% of the total shots in a typical round of golf and having the confidence in your equipment will make a world of difference in your scores!

Price: $ 50 for a 1,5 hour Fitting Evaluation (Step 1-5)

Wedges

The primary goal of a custom wedge fitting is to find the optimal combination of wedges for your bag. Having the correct combination of lofts and lies and bounce will improve your scoring performance and reduce the yardage gaps for approach shots.

I will match loft, bounce, sole design, and club face spin to your specifications. Consistent yardage on approach shots will allow players to better capitalize on scoring opportunities.

Price: $ 30 for a 1 hour Fitting Evaluation (Step 1-5)

Putter

Putting is the most important part of any golfer’s game. Ensuring that your putter is fitted correctly is an easy way to shave strokes off your game. I match up the player's stroke type to the correct putter head style along with the proper length, lie angle, loft, and overall weight.

Price: $ 25 for a 1/2 hour Fitting Evaluation (Step 1-5)
