A relative sold a very expensive nitro powered remote controlled racing buggy on ebay - posted it off to the buyer and was paid through ebay - all good
Then he got a message from ebay that the funds had been withdrawn and the car was being returned as the buyer had put in a claim that it wasn't as advertised-
Peed off he waited 2 weeks for it's return ,he had another buyer lined up private...

Rainy afternoon and I made the mistake of looking through old photos. I could have spent half a day going "Oh yes I remember when...."

Here are a couple that might be of interest. The first is a Frogeye with special bodywork. It had a Formula Junior engine which came about when everybody dumped the A series in favour of the Ford 105e. I don't know what power it produced but it was a very ...

Gord, see http://www.ttalk.info/LateTDWiring.htm for a start. Yes, it's a TD diagram, but I think the only difference would be in the wiper motor, and it's in color. Thanks to Dave Runnings. (at 89 I can read it).

"Can Scientific Thinking Save the World?"

"Third Millennium Thinking: Creating Sense in a World of Nonsense."

    "A physicist, a philosopher and a psychologist walk into a classroom. ------

    Spurred by what they ...

A very good thing about ebay, is when as a buyer, a seller mucks you about.

I ordered some facia board capping and some 90 degree corner caps.

One supplier. One order. One checkout.

But the seller processed it wrongly and charged two sets of postage, despite my contacting them in advance, to make sure that didn't happen.

The seller then said it was too late to a...

Cheers Guy, good to hear I am not the only one with the bolt for a hinge and probably best to put it back rather than the correct pin.

  • GuyW21 May 2024

Tim, the pivot pin on mine dropped out. It's some sort of interference fit but it fell out at which point the whole lever arm flaps about, pivoting on the edge of the slot in the casing. As a temporary roadside fix I put a coach bolt in, with the large domed bolt head at the top so it couldn't fall out. In the end it worked so well that I never did replace it!
