Welcome to the website dedicated to the Majorcan holiday resorts of Cala Millor and Cala Bona.

Situated along the north-east coast of Mallorca, approximately 70km from the capital Palma and the islands' Son Sant Joan International airport, Cala Millor and Cala Bona are part of the Municipal district of Son Servera, and are two popular and busy holiday destinations for both British and European visitors to Majorca.

Cala Millor offers one of the finest beaches in Mallorca, and after you have finished your hard day's sunbathing there is a host of activities in the area to keep you occupied in the evening. And, of course, there is a great selection of restaurants in the area.

Most of the British bars in Cala Millor offer night-time entertainment, like quizzes, bingo, race nights, karaoke, Play Your Cards Right, plus live entertainers.

Joined to Cala Millor by a very pleasant traffic free promenade, the resort of Cala Bona is much more relaxed than its neighbour.

Built around a small working harbour, Cala Bona is not a purpose built holiday resort, but more of a small traditional Mallorcan fishing village that has grown and adapted to cater for the islands tourist market.

The harbour area is relaxing by day and by night, and there is a wide choice of bars and restaurants which offer local Mallorquin, as well as other Mediterranean and European dishes. However, the fish restaurants here are a must if that is your preference.

But don't worry you can also get your full English (or Scottish) breakfast, or traditional Sunday lunch with roast beef and Yorkshire pud, and of course a pint of bitter to wash it down.

As you would expect, in the area around Cala Millor and Cala Bona, there is a wide range of sports facilities on offer, such as scuba diving, jet skiing and snorkeling etc, all of which are available at the Watersport Center on the main Cala Millor beach, in front of the Hotel Riu Playa Cala Millor.

For the less active, departing from the harbour at Cala Bona, there are also relaxing glass bottomed boat trips on offer too, that offer superb views of the east coast as they head out north towards the resort of Cala Ratjada.

It's hard to believe that as little as 50 years ago much of this area of Majorca was still little more than a lonely dune covered stretch of coastline.

But with almost 2km of fine sandy beach running from Cala Bona ('The Good Bay') to Cala Millor ('The Better Bay') and an every increasing demand for beds, the area has grown to become the major resort development on Mallorca's north east coast.

In all fairness to the local council, considerable efforts have clearly been made to maintain "green zones" and extend protection to areas of special environmental interest, the most notable of these being the Punta de n'Amer headland to the south of Cala Millor.

Overall the resorts of Cala Millor and Cala Bona should appeal to most people. With so much to see, do and explore, Cala Millor is a great destination for couples who are seeking a fun packed holiday, whereas Cala Bona is family friendly, and is especially suitable for those looking for a quieter resort.

We hope you enjoy your holiday in the area, and we hope that our web site acts as a useful aid to your visit to the resort.
