More than 28,000 runners—a record number—conquered the 2024 RBC Brooklyn Half in the event's 42nd running, making the race the largest half marathon in the country in 2024.
Sustainability at the RBC Brooklyn Half
Over 26,000 runners are expected to hit the streets of Brooklyn at the RBC Brooklyn Half on Saturday, May 18. In the days leading up to the race and on race day, NYRR will be rolling out sustainability efforts that will help minimize the environmental impact of one of the largest half marathons in the country.
NYRR Honors Jewish American Heritage Month
May is Jewish American Heritage Month, a time to discover, explore, and celebrate the vibrant and varied American Jewish experience from the dawn of our nation to the present day. Jewish runners were among the founders of NYRR in 1958 and people of Jewish heritage have been a part of NYRR’s leadership and membership throughout its history.

May is Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month, a time to celebrate Asians and Pacific Islanders in the United States. At NYRR, this month we look at AAPI representation in the running community and tell stories of AAPI runners and groups.
