The year is 2020, the world is in lockdown. I am living alone and seperated from family and friends by a state border that up till now had been almost meaningless. Craving something more positive to replace my evening sessions of doom scrolling and refreshing covid stats pages, I see news that the next Animal Crossing game is coming out. That could work, I think as I look up if buying a video game and console counts as an "essential" reason to leave the house.

On 19 December 1972, the last humans walked on the surface of the moon. Since then, talks of bringing humans back have been going on, but so far only robots have been landing on the grey rocks. Until now! The Artemis project, named after the Greek goddess of the moon and twin sister of Apollo, will take us back, and we will bring the tools needed to build a permanent base too.

The Space 2024 project explores new territory, and after reviewing various other themes, today we're entering the Technic universe. My heart jumped when I heard that we were getting Technic Space sets; they're my two childhood favorites combined, how can that not be epic! So far, the Technic range includes 4 sets: A spacecraft, 2 rovers and a unique non-vehicle set, something we rarely see.

LEGO Art has come a long way since the start of the theme. The sets have evolved from mosaics that are basically ‘just adding dots’ into more complicated builds where the designs experiment with shapes and textures. The latest entry is 31212-1 The Milky Way Galaxy, where seemingly random parts create a 3D effect on the painting.

The Gunship or Low Altitude Assault Transport for infantry probably is one of the most recognizable and famous ships in the Clone Wars. It makes a great entrance in Episode II in the First Battle of Geonosis under Master Yoda to rescue the surving Jedi. Therefore it's no surprise there are a lot of official sets from microscale to UCS as well as MOCs.

It's the biggest question facing all new students when they enter Hogwarts: Which house will I end up in? Your designation is determined by the Sorting Hat, a hat sewn 1,000 years ago by Godric Gryffindor and enchanted by the 4 founders of the school, possessing their knowledge on sorting students. The hat has appeared in several sets as a minifig headgear, but despite the enchanted object playing such a major role at Hogwarts only one set has fully focussed on the hat itself.

The T-6 Jedi shuttle first appeared in second season of "The Clone Wars" animated series in 2009. It's a more confidentilal starship than the N-1 Nabbo starfighter I reviewed in 2022, but, it's an old timer too, not a brand new white shuttle like in the "Clone wars" (it's not true it was already an old starship at this moment).

As well as being a LEGO fan, I am a bit of a musician; owning a violin, guitar, two ukuleles and an occarina. The one I have been playing most lately is my ukulele (chords are so much easier with only 4 strings!). My first ukulele is a small blue one which is now showing signs of a well loved life, with sun fading and chips on the paintwork. It holds such a special place in my heart, so when I saw LEGO was releasing a blue ukulele set I knew it would be on my buy list.

Batman: The Animated Series or BTAS was an animated show featuring DC's Batman, running from 1992 until 1995 with 85 episodes. I missed most of this show as a kid because we couldn't receive the right channel for it, but I had heard of it, simply because of the massive impact the show has. Later on, I binged the show after watching some Bat-May episodes.
